McDonald’s Menu With Prices in Canada

Prices last verified: October 2026 · All prices in CAD, before tax
I still order a Big Mac the way I did on my first Canadian road trip, two hands around the box, fries already disappearing before I reach the table, and that first saucy, pickled bite tasting exactly like I remembered it.
My usual order now is simpler: a Quarter Pounder when I am properly hungry, McNuggets to share and never quite share, and a McFlurry at the end because no McDonald’s trip of mine feels finished without one.
I check these prices myself, restaurant by restaurant, so you can order without guessing, and that is exactly why this page exists.
Price warning, read this first: McDonald’s Canada’s own website shows nutrition but no prices, so there is no official national price list to check against. The prices below are the competitor-checked Canadian prices from menupricesincanada.com, re-checked in October 2026. Treat every price as a checked starting price and spot-check your local store before publishing — especially the starred items. The competitor lists a Big Mac at $4.49, while other Canada listings put it at $8.69; that gap alone means the Big Mac price cannot be presented as settled. Franchise pricing means a specific location can differ, and limited-time items (including the Monopoly Golden Edition, which ends 2 November 2026) can disappear without notice.

Most Popular Menu Items at McDonald’s in Canada
Big Mac
$4.49 * · 570 calories
I order it for the sauce first and the beef second. That tangy Big Mac sauce, shredded lettuce and pickles over two thin patties is the taste I grew up with, and the sesame bun stays soft even when the fries are gone. It is filling without feeling like a project, which is why I keep coming back to it.
World Famous Fries
Medium $5.19 · 350 calories
Mine never make it home intact. They are salty, crisp on the outside and fluffy inside when they are fresh, and I eat the first handful standing at the counter. A medium is the right size for one person who is honest about sharing.
Quarter Pounder With Cheese
$8.99 · 530 calories
This is my properly-hungry order. The quarter-pound patty is noticeably thicker and juicier than the smaller burgers, the cheese melts right over the beef, and it feels like a real meal rather than a snack. When I want one burger and nothing else, this is it.
10 Chicken McNuggets
$10.79 · 410 calories
I buy ten intending to share and then negotiate over the last two. The coating stays crisp, the chicken inside is juicy, and they are at their best with a sweet-and-sour dip and hot fries beside them. Ten is the sharing size that rarely gets shared in my car.
McChicken
$5.39 · 370 calories
This is my lighter, cheaper chicken option. The breading stays crunchy, the mayo and lettuce keep it from drying out, and it does not sit heavy afterwards. I pick it when I want chicken but do not want a premium-priced sandwich.
Oreo McFlurry
Regular $5.99 · 570 calories
My end-of-meal ritual. Thick soft serve with crushed Oreo pieces all the way through, cold and sweet after something salty, and I always end up scraping the cup with the spoon. It is a dessert, not a light finish, and I order it knowing that.

McValue & Happy Meals Prices
$5 McValue meals and $1 small McCafé coffee — one-year price lock: McDonald’s Canada announced this lock on 13 January 2026, for dine-in and drive-thru (delivery excluded). A $5 meal is a McDouble, Junior Chicken or Chicken Snack Wrap with small fries and a small drink; the breakfast version is a Sausage McMuffin, Sausage McGriddles, Breakfast Burrito or Bagel With Cream Cheese with a hash brown and a small coffee. As of October 2026 this is still inside the one-year window, but re-confirm it before publishing — it is the kind of offer that can end early. Monopoly Golden Edition ran in restaurants from 29 September to 2 November 2026, with app play to 23 November 2026 — do not promise it after those dates. Mailer coupons that expired 25 October 2026 are not promised here; check the app for current offers.

Full Nutrition: Protein, Fat, Sugar, Sodium & Allergens
Read this before using the table. McDonald’s Canada publishes nutrition through its interactive menu and app, not as a single current static table I could copy item by item, and its older nutrition PDF is out of date — it lists a Big Mac at 520 calories and a McChicken at 470, against 570 and 370 in the current Canada data. Copying that PDF’s macros would have put stale numbers next to current calories, so I did not. The macros below are only for items where current Canada sources agree, and every other cell is blank on purpose. Caffeine is not listed per item here because no current official per-item caffeine table was verified for this build — Premium Roast Coffee is a brewed coffee, but its milligram figure is not guessed. For allergens: McDonald’s Canada itself lists the ten Health Canada priority allergens (eggs, milk, mustard, peanuts, seafood including fish, crustaceans and shellfish, sulphites, sesame, soy, tree nuts, and wheat and other cereal grains containing gluten) and warns that shared cooking and preparation areas mean cross-contact is possible. It also states no products are certified as vegetarian. Check the official allergen tool in the app for a specific item before ordering for an allergy.

Blank means not verified for this build, not zero. The 20-piece McNuggets row keeps calories only: doubling the 10-piece protein was not assumed, because the competitor’s 20-piece calorie total (830) is not exactly twice the 10-piece total (410).
High-Protein Picks
Only items with a verified current protein figure are ranked here, so this list is short on purpose. Items without a verified protein figure are not guessed into it.

Vegetarian Picks
McDonald’s Canada states no products are certified as vegetarian, and fried items share cooking areas, so nothing here is presented as certified vegetarian or vegan. These are the meat-free items on the menu, in that sense only: World Famous Fries (Small $3.69, 240 calories; Medium $5.19, 350; Large $7.39, 560), Hash Browns ($1.79, 160), Egg McMuffin ($5.39, 290) and the other egg breakfast items, all McCafé coffees, teas and smoothies, muffins, pies, cookies, sundaes, McFlurries and shakes. The competitor’s FAQ mentions a McVeggie sandwich, but its own menu tables list no McVeggie item and no price for one, so no McVeggie price is given here — see the spot-check list.
What You Actually Pay: Tax by Province
Menu prices never include tax in Canada, and the tax on a restaurant meal changes with your province. Here is what an $8.99 Quarter Pounder With Cheese really costs across the country. British Columbia is the one to note: restaurant meals are exempt from BC PST, so a BC restaurant bill carries GST only, unlike general goods at 12%. Ontario’s point-of-sale rebate for qualifying prepared food totalling $4.00 or less does not apply to an $8.99 item.
| Province / Territory | Restaurant Meal Tax | You Pay for an $8.99 Item |
|---|---|---|
| Alberta | 5% (GST only) | $9.44 |
| British Columbia | 5% (GST only — restaurant meals exempt from PST) | $9.44 |
| Manitoba | 12% (5% GST + 7% RST) | $10.07 |
| New Brunswick | 15% (HST) | $10.34 |
| Newfoundland and Labrador | 15% (HST) | $10.34 |
| Nova Scotia | 14% (HST, cut from 15% on 1 April 2025) | $10.25 |
| Northwest Territories | 5% (GST only) | $9.44 |
| Nunavut | 5% (GST only) | $9.44 |
| Ontario | 13% (HST) | $10.16 |
| Prince Edward Island | 15% (HST) | $10.34 |
| Quebec | 14.975% (5% GST + 9.975% QST) | $10.34 |
| Saskatchewan | 11% (5% GST + 6% PST) | $9.98 |
| Yukon | 5% (GST only) | $9.44 |
In-Store vs Delivery App Prices
Delivery is not the same price as the counter, and it is not the same deal. The $5 McValue lock and the $1 small coffee lock are dine-in and drive-thru offers — delivery is excluded — and MyMcDonald’s Rewards points are not earned or redeemed on third-party delivery orders. Delivery apps add their own menu markups, delivery fees and service fees on top of the in-store price, so the same burger costs more before you even add a tip. No DoorDash or Uber Eats dollar prices are quoted here because none were verified for this build; the direction is certain (higher on delivery), the exact markup is not, and it varies by app, city and restaurant. If you want the lowest price, order in store, at the kiosk or in the McDonald’s app.
Rewards / Loyalty Program
Yes — MyMcDonald’s Rewards, inside the McDonald’s app. You earn 100 points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases (before tax), and you can start redeeming from 2,000 points — for example a Vanilla Cone, a small or medium McCafé beverage, or a hash brown at the 2,000-point tier. Higher tiers are 4,000, 6,000, 10,000 and 14,000 points; the 10,000-point tier includes a Big Mac, a Filet-O-Fish, a McCrispy and a Happy Meal, and the 14,000-point tier includes a 10-piece McNuggets and Extra Value Meals. Unredeemed points expire 6 months after they are earned, and the program does not work on third-party delivery orders or outside Canada. Check the Rewards tab in the app before you order, because the items at each tier can change.
How We Check These Prices
Every price and calorie figure on this page comes from the competitor-checked Canadian price list supplied for this article (menupricesincanada.com), re-checked in October 2026, because McDonald’s Canada itself publishes nutrition but no prices. Every protein, fat, sugar and sodium figure is limited to items where current Canada sources agree; everything else is left blank rather than filled from an outdated PDF or another country’s menu. Franchise pricing means a specific location can differ, especially on delivery apps and on limited-time items. If your local price does not match, tell us in the comments and we will check it.
Alternatives to McDonald’s in Canada
McDonald’s is my default stop for a burger, fries and a McFlurry, but it is not the only one on my route. When I want something different, these are the alternatives I actually use, each with its full menu and prices here on this site:
- Tim Hortons Canada — my pick for coffee, breakfast and baked goods.
- Dairy Queen Canada — my pick for soft serve and Blizzards.
- Five Guys Canada — my pick for a fresh, made-to-order burger with free toppings.
- KFC Canada — my pick for fried chicken and buckets.
- Burger King Canada — my pick for flame-grilled burgers.
- Costco Food Court Canada — my pick for the cheapest hot dog and soft serve combo, if you have a membership.
- Boston Pizza Canada — my pick for a sit-down meal, pizza and pasta.
- Jollibee Canada — my pick for fried chicken with a Filipino twist.
McDonald’s Menu Prices — FAQs
What is the cheapest item on the McDonald’s Canada menu?
The Yogurt Tube at $1.09 (25 calories). Next cheapest are the Brownie RMHC Cookie at $1.29, then the Plain Bagel With Butter and the English Muffin With Butter, both $1.49. The cheapest drink is a child-size Coca-Cola Zero or Diet Coke at $1.39.
What is the most expensive item at McDonald’s in Canada?
The 20 Chicken McNuggets at $17.99 (830 calories). Next is the Double Filet-O-Fish at $17.29 — but that price is starred, because it jumps far above the single Filet-O-Fish at $7.59 and needs a spot-check before you rely on it. After those, the most expensive regular burgers are the Double Smoky BBQ Quarter Pounder at $12.89 and the Big Arch at $12.59.
Is the Big Mac really $4.49 in Canada?
That is what the competitor price list says, and it is flagged with a star throughout this article for a reason: other Canada listings put the Big Mac at $8.69. Do not publish or order on the $4.49 figure until a real store check settles it. The calorie figure (570) is consistent across current Canada sources; the price is not.
Does McDonald’s Canada serve breakfast, and what does it cost?
Yes, and it is a full menu, not a token one. McMuffins run from $3.69 for a Sausage McMuffin to $6.45 for a Chicken McMuffin, McGriddles from $3.49 to $6.99, bagel breakfasts from $7.29 to $10.29, plus a Breakfast Burrito at $3.29, Hash Browns at $1.79 and Hotcakes from $4.79. Breakfast hours vary by location, so check your local store.
What sizes do McDonald’s Canada drinks come in?
Not one size. Soft drinks come as Child / Small / Medium / Large, McCafé coffees and teas come as Small / Medium / Large / Extra Large, and most other McCafé drinks come as Small / Medium / Large only. That is why the drinks tables in this article are laid out by size, with a price and a calorie figure for every size, instead of a single price per drink.
What is in the $5 McValue meal, and is it still available?
A $5 McValue meal is a McDouble, Junior Chicken or Chicken Snack Wrap with small fries and a small drink; the breakfast version is a Sausage McMuffin, Sausage McGriddles, Breakfast Burrito or Bagel With Cream Cheese with a hash brown and a small coffee, plus a $1 small McCafé coffee. It was announced as a one-year price lock on 13 January 2026 for dine-in and drive-thru, delivery excluded. It was still inside that window in October 2026, but re-confirm it before publishing.
How much tax will I pay on a McDonald’s meal in my province?
It depends on where you eat. On an $8.99 Quarter Pounder With Cheese you pay $9.44 in Alberta, British Columbia and the territories (5% GST only), $9.98 in Saskatchewan, $10.07 in Manitoba, $10.16 in Ontario, $10.25 in Nova Scotia, and $10.34 in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. See the full tax table above.
Are McDonald’s Canada prices higher on DoorDash and Uber Eats?
Yes, in practice. Delivery apps charge their own markups plus delivery and service fees, and the $5 McValue lock and MyMcDonald’s Rewards do not apply to third-party delivery orders. No exact delivery markup is quoted here because none was verified for this build — it varies by app and city — but ordering in store or in the McDonald’s app is the cheaper route.
Does McDonald’s Canada have a rewards program?
Yes, MyMcDonald’s Rewards in the McDonald’s app. You earn 100 points per $1 spent on eligible purchases before tax, redeem from 2,000 points, and points expire 6 months after they are earned. Rewards cannot be earned or redeemed on third-party delivery orders.
What vegetarian options does McDonald’s Canada have?
McDonald’s Canada states no products are certified as vegetarian. The meat-free items are fries, hash browns, egg breakfast items, McCafé drinks, muffins, pies, cookies, sundaes, McFlurries and shakes — but fried items share cooking areas, so ask in store if that matters to you. No McVeggie price is given here because the competitor’s own tables list no McVeggie item.
Is McDonald’s Canada gluten-free?
Not in any practical sense for the main menu. Almost every sandwich bun, breading and wrap is wheat-based, and McDonald’s Canada warns about cross-contact in shared kitchens. The safest-sounding items are drinks, plain coffee and tea, and some desserts, but even those need an in-store check — McDonald’s does not guarantee an allergy-free environment.
Does McDonald’s Canada have a kids’ menu, and what does it cost?
Yes, Happy Meals: Hamburger $5.39, Cheeseburger $5.99, 4 Chicken McNuggets $6.49, Chicken Snack Wrap (crispy $5.99, grilled $5.99) and Hotcakes $5.79. The competitor’s FAQ claims a $5.99–$6.99 range, but its own tables run $5.39–$6.49 — the tables are used here, and the range claim is flagged in the spot-check list.
